Skeleton Clock

The flow of emigration to the colonies beginning in the 1600's included clockmakers, woodworkers, and other artisans. Due to a limited demand for clockmakers, these artisans had to find other means of support for themselves and their families. Thus the clockmakers frequently became gunsmiths, blacksmiths, and many other professions involving metal. The woodworkers naturally were the house builders, and the cabinet makers. But after some time due to demand the clockmakers and the woodworkers found themselves together in a common bond. But by this time the larger clocks were becoming old fashioned, evolving were clocks of more graceful proportions. This simple but elegant Skeleton Clock is encased in Walnut, surrounding the glass panels on all four sides. This antique replica comes with a Franz Hermle key movement. Unique in it's own simplicity this Skeleton Clock is a must have for all discerning pallets. It well complements a Queen Anne Lowboy or on an Oxbow Chest-of-Drawers.
