Secretarial Desk Newport Six Shell

The Newport Six Shell Secretarial Desk was among the priciest furniture ever crafted in the colonies. The original elaborate case piece evoked the wealth and sophistication of it's owner. Because of the many compartments and drawers that are housed beneath the desk lid, the Newport Secretarial Desk has been described as the Colonial era's answer to a computer.
