Queen Anne Connecticut Lowboy Dressing Table

It would be hard to find a better representative of 18th century American Furniture than this Connecticut Queen Anne Lowboy, also called a Dressing Table. The overhang of the top of The Connecticut Lowboy is done in warm figured maple makes this antique replica appear smaller than it actually is. The cyma-scrolled apron flows into the cabriole legs, achieves grace and lift. In comparison to the William and Mary Lowboys preceding, this Lowboy Dressing Table antique furniture replica exudes a quite calm. Gone are the bell-shaped trumpet turned legs with herringbone stretchers. Replacing this are boldly curved cabriole legs that end in wafer pad platformed feet.

Queen Anne Connecticut Lowboy Dressing Table
Antique Replica: Height 29 ½" × Width 35 ¼" × Depth 23" inches.

This Queen Anne Connecticut Dressing Table features dropped finials and the concave, deep hand carved scallop shell that displays well with a Federal Domed Jewelry Chest, or with a Bombay Jewelry Chest. The Queen Anne Connecticut Lowboy is hand constructed and finished with highly figured maple with dovetail construction of the drawers and with mortise and tenon joints on the frame.
