The Lowboy or Dressing Table is emphasized by bold curves of the strong tall cabriole legs and a high undulating arched, cyma lobed scrolling of the apron silhouette. The cabriole legs with platformed pad feet, have smooth quarter-round knee returns on this dressing table. Brass drawer pull handles accent the face of this fine dressing table. The tabletop overhang of this table balances height proportions of lift with a strong horizontal element to the Queen Anne Lowboy Dressing Table.

Queen Anne Lowboy
Antique Replica: height 28" × width 30" × depth 18" inches

The dressing tables or lowboys were often used as serving tables, writing desks and side tables. When used as a dressing table, a scrolled mirror sometimes called a looking glass, was often hung above the Queen Anne lowboy. When used as a serving table, a Decanter Chest or a Domed Tea Caddy may have been used to highlight the beautiful Queen Anne Lowboy. This hand crafted, hand finished, lowboy, made from only the finest quality of American Curly Maple is a welcome addition to any master bedroom. An European Shelf Clock or Bombay Tea Caddy make optional companion pieces, for this fine furniture lowboy dressing table.
