pie crust tea tables and were placed in the center of a drawing room with a tea service or

Tea tables in the early 18th century, during the Queen Anne period, Georgian style were simple
yet elegant. Used in many ways, the tea table was used primarily for serving tea to guests
and then stored when not in use. These tables, sometimes called Tip-Top and Tripod, varied
in size and style but the most practical feature was having the ability to be tilted up. It
was during this time period that furniture was located around the perimeter of the room and
pulled out for use when needed. Tea drinking was an important social activity and round tea
